"Kate, I have a feeling we’re not in Scubar anymore."

We saw it coming in.  We knew that the Sydney Tower and 360 Bar and Restaurant were going to be fancy, expensive, stunning, the like.  At 4pm, Kate, Kara and I headed uptown to catch the M20 to go to the Business District, where the Sydney Tower stands.  We got off after a very, very long wait in a traffic jam going up Elizabeth Street, and arrived at the location around 4:40.  We had some trouble finding the entrance to the elevator, but after asking twice for directions, we managed to make our way there.  There was a desk with four very nicely dressed attendants, who looked us over to make sure we were dressed properly (darn, I wanted to wear my shorts and thongs [flip flops]!).  After getting the all-clear, we were ushered over to security, where we went through a metal detector.  FANCY!  We boarded our own elevator, and after the doors closed, took mirror photos to document the ride.  Only afterwards did we realize that there was a video camera.  And next to the video camera… a monitor… of the elevator… but not our elevator… another one!  There were two adults and a young boy in it.  I waved to the camera.  The boy waved back!  We were embarrassed.  When we got off the elevator, my eyes went straight for the view.  It was stunning.  Sunset was in approximately five minutes, and I am so glad the three of us went earlier than the others.  We ordered drinks – dad, I got one of the wines that you suggested, and it was good! – and reveled in the view as we waited for them.  They arrived, and we decided to split orders of rosemary fries, a chocolate mousse dessert, and an apple crumble dessert.  Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS, especially the chocolate mousse.  It was a chocolate mousse pave, port roasted fig, and raspberry cream.  We split it in parts, and I cannot describe to you all how absolutely DELECTABLE it was.  We wanted to order more!  The view was no small sight either!  We got to see from dusk to dark, which was great, and because the room rotated, we really did get a 360 degree view.  We went around twice, and according to the bartender, it takes 80 minutes to go around once.  It really was fantastic.  We saw all of the sights that we’ve seen up close – the bridge, the Coca-Cola sign, the Art Gallery of NSW, a great park and beautiful church that I don’t know the name of.  We watched planes arrive and depart, and watched the light disappear beneath the horizon as the stars began to peek out from behind the clouds.
