My lunch yesterday ended up being AMAZING. The food here is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. I haven't been disappointed with a meal yet! I've actually been more than pleased with everything.
In the evening, we accidentally set off our fire alarm while cooking. Our first instinct? DON'T OPEN THE DOOR TO THE HALL! Apparently that sets off the main alarm, and you can be fined $500. So we opened our balcony and the scenario resolved in the following minutes. But we did look pretty funny waving decorative pillows underneath the smoke detector to stop the beeping...
Since it was so gross outside, we got comfortable and watched a Bollywood dance/theater competition reality show, and then watched No Reservations, which was playing on the television.
Today, we woke up to more rain, but it wasn't a downpour or a monsoon. We collected ourselves and Kate, and we all walked over to the Eveleigh Artisan Market, which is only open the first Sunday of the month. It was AWESOME, and totally worth the trek through the rain. Everything there was handmade and absolutely beautiful! I love markets and the like. Literally how I would spend every day if I could. Here's the website if anyone's interested:

I bought a few goodies for some of you back home, but I'm not saying anything more than that! I also got myself a couple handmade cloth buttons... one with an owl, and the other with a hedgehog. My two favorite animals, right there.
On the way back, we stopped by a produce market, and we also passed by a bakery that had blinking Christmas lights in the food cases... it caught my attention, anyway. There were also numerous cafes, which were pretty cute. As we were heading back, a very endearing old British woman asked us for directions, and she was surprised to find out that were were tourists too!

The remainder of the day will likely be devoted to schoolwork and being lazy. I've already changed into my sweatpants, and I'm looking forward to curling up and being productive.
Until next time!!
