As part of one of my dialogue courses, I'm required to keep a journal. I'm going to integrate that into my blog, as I'm sure that most points will overlap. Here's today's entry!
Just twelve days before the big flight to Sydney, I’m begin my travel journal. I’ve done my fair share of travelling in the past, but I’ve never been out of the country without my parents. This will definitely be an adventure, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with my peers!
Yesterday, we discussed our individual leadership styles and formed groups based on our characteristics. Apparently, I’m considered a beaver. Beavers love detail, and are creative, self-disciplined, and intellectual. We’re sensitive, predictable, and orderly, and strive for quality as we stick to projects until they’re done. We’re overly critical and can be difficult to get along with. Creative occupations are filled with us. However, we can’t expect everyone to live up to our standards. While I feel that I’m pretty easy to get along with, the rest of the beaver characteristics seem absolutely fitting!
In class today, we did multiple team-building activities and each got to know our directed study groups. My group still hasn’t decided on a topic, but we seem to have a good dynamic. There was a lot of laughing involved in today’s class, and I sincerely hope that the rest of this experiences continues along that path.
Until next time-
