During orientation, one of the staff members here at ACU mentioned that it's common for Americans to arrive in Australia and think that it's very similar to the US.  That's kind of where I'm at now.  To me, it feels like a Euro-American mix. However, she went on to say that the more you explore, the more you realize just how different everything here really is.
